6-magnitude quake rocks Bali of Indonesia



JAKARTA: A powerful earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale rocked Bali of Indonesia on early Tuesday.

According to Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency (INDMA)) said on Twitter that the earthquake struck around 7 am local time south of Bali. It said the quake struck at a depth of 68 kilometers.

The earthquake has slightly damaged Nusa Dua. Tourists had run frantically when the quake rocked the area, said Nyoman Sanjaya, spokesperson of BNPB.

The earthquake strikes Indonesia almost every year, causing a heavy loss of lives and properties.
