Tamor corridor to be completed by October



KATHMANDU: The construction work of Tamor corridor under the national pride project Pushpalal Highway will be completed by the second week of October.

The fast-tract, which connects with Tarai and Kathmandu will be148 kilometers long and 10 meters wide. A total of seven different companies are involved in the construction of the corridor in seven packages, said Pramod Khatiwada, engineer at Mid-Hill Highway Project Office, Phidim.

Till now 60 percent of the construction work has been completed while the remaining work is planned to be completed by the second week of October.

The estimated cost of the construction work is 6 billion 234 million 900 thousand rupees.
The construction work had started in 2017 and been planned to be completed in 30 months.
