492 vehicles face the music for over-speeding

KATHMANDU: Traffic Police have booked 492 vehicles for over-speeding along the Kalanki-Koteshwor road section of the Ring Road.

The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) on Tuesday had initiated a campaign at the Koteswor-Kalanki stretch by using a laser speed gun to minimize and control the speed of the vehicles plying on the road section.

Among those facing the music, most are motorcyclists, Naya Patrika Daily reported.

MTPD Chief SSP Basanta Panta said some 500 vehicles have been booked in the past five days, adding that the campaign would continue.
