Two Indian climbers die on Mt Kanchenjunga



KATHMANDU: Two Indian climbers died at Mt Kanchenjunga, the world’s third highest mountain. They breathed their last above IV while descending from the summit.

Biplab Baidya (48) and Kuntal Karar (46) died after they were unable to continue their descent from near the summit. They suffered from  altitude ailments, hypothermia and snowblindness, Peak Promotion Pvt. Ltd reported.

They were the part of a five-member team of West Bengal climbers.

Similarly, Rodrigo Vivanco, a climber from Chile has gone missing from above Camp IV of Mt Kanchenjunga since last evening.
