RASUWA: Cargo vehicles have started plying the Betrawati-Mailung-Syapurabesi route, with the new highway coming into smooth operation.
A security check post has been already set up at Mailung for screening security along the highway going through the river banks. Daily hundreds of vehicles are seen plying on the highway. The Galchhi-Trishuli-Betrawati-Mailung-Syafrubesi road improvement project has expedited the improvements of roads from Galchhi of Dhading to Shanti Bazaar of Nuwakot, informed Ramchandra Pudasaini, a vehicle driver.
It would be easier to operate vehicles in the winter season as road widening has been done in most of the areas, he added. A vehicle has to pass through around 103-km distance to reach Syafru Rasuwagadhi from Galchhi via Trishuli and Betrawati.
As the Betrawati-Trishuli-Bhotekoshi route reduces 25-km distance it would not only decrease fuel price but also avoid innumerable turns and twists on the road, said entrepreneurs of Dhunche.
