NC registers differing views in regard with Land Bill

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress, the main opposition, has presented its differing view in regard with amendments of the Land-related (eighth amendment) Bill-2075 BS.

The party on Sunday registered its opinion at the Legislation Management Committee of the National Assembly (NA).

Party lawmakers Jitendra Narayan Dev, Prakash Panth and Anita Devkota registered the party’s stand on the amendments to the bill as well as amendments relating to the report of the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, House of Representatives -2076 BS.

Nepali Congress has also expressed concern over the provision which has been later to give the Gaucharan (pasture land) on a lease.
