CIAA drags eight to court for graft

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday filed a graft case against eight persons including the then Vice-chancellor of Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute for Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Balbhadra Prasad Das.

The anti-graft body filed the case at the Special Court against Das, the then Director Arbindra Kumar Sinha, the then Registrar Nada Kumar Thapa, Registrar Tul Bahadur Shrestha, Accounts Chief Dineshraj Dahal and Deputy Manager Amit Srivastava.

CIAA also filed the case against Proprietor Chetan Agrawal of Prosijan Medical Pvt Ltd and Proprietor Umesh Agrawal of Surgicam Distributors.
