Right to live in clean environment to be ensured: PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that there was no other way than to empower the people to address the impact and challenges of climate change and to be prepared to address such impact.

Speaking at an international symposium on climate change organized by the Ministry of Forest and Environment here today, he said that Article 30 of the Constitution guarantees the right to live in a clean environment, and hence the government is committed to fully implement it.

Sharing that the government was hosting the ‘Sagarmatha dialogue’ in coming March, the Prime Minister said that the theme of the dialogue would be climate change. World leaders, thinkers and stakeholders will gather at the international forum to hold serious deliberations on contemporary issues of the human race, he added.
