Relief support to affected farmers of Mustang

POKHARA: The Gandaki State government has provided support to Mustang farmers, who lost their cattle owing to heavy snowfall last winter.

Around 377 farmers of Mustang received assistance worth Rs. 4.92 million. According to Durga Prasad Dawadi, Secretary at the Ministry of Land Reforms, Agriculture and Cooperatives, the farmers lost their mountain goat, sheep, horse, yak, and other domestic cattle in the disaster.

He informed that the Lomanthang rural municipality of Mustang had suffered the most due to the snowfall.
