Aspirants protest direction to scrap PSC vacancy

KATHMANDU: Various stakeholders including aspirants of the Public Service Commission (PSC) examination have been protesting against the State Affairs Committee (SAC) of the parliament direction to scrap the recently-announced vacancies at various local units.

The examination aspirants have demanded that the exams be conducted as per the PSC schedule.

On June 10, the committee had directed the government to stop the announcement for a total of various 9,161 government positions at the local level.

Approximately 95,000 people have applied for the vacancies so far.
