Account Officer caught red-handed with bribe



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested a government employee red-handed with a bribe.

Acting on a complaint, the anti-graft body arrested Account Officer at Chandragiri Municipality, Prakash Chandra Giri, with Rs 20,000 kickback from the office premises.

Giri had demanded the bribe amount with a contractor for payment for a road construction works.
