PM Oli to make breakthrough of Bheri-Babai tunnel

SURKHET: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oil is scheduled to make a breakthrough of the tunnel of Bheri Babai Multipurpose Diversion Project (BBDMP) on Tuesday.

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun and Karnali State chief minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi will be there to witness the ceremony.

The tunnel construction works were undertaken with the help of a tunnel boring machine by the Chinese-based company China Engineering Overseas Group Co Ltd (COVEC).  It completed the works before a year of the deadline.
