Last rite of Inspector Dahal killed in Dhanusha bombing performed



KATHMANDU: The last rite of Police Inspector Amir Kumar Dahal killed in a bomb explosion in Dhanusha district on Friday midnight has been performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Saturday.

Former Prime Minister Jhalantah Khanal, IGP Sarbendra Khanal among other high-ranking officials of Nepal Police paid tribute to the late Inspector.

Dahal, who was seriously injured in the explosion at Chhireshwarnath Municipality-5, Mahendra Nagar, died while being taken to Dharan for treatment.

Dahal had shifted to Gokarneshwor Municipality-8 in Kathmandu from Sankhuwasabha district.

Three persons including Police Inspector Dahal were killed in the explosion on Friday midnight.
