BHADRAPUR: Minister for Finance Dr. Yuwaraj Khatiwada said Nepal will be enlisted in the top 10 fastest growing economy in the world and that would be a ‘robust’ indicator for a booming economy.
Minister Khatiwada’s statement had a bearing with several economic measures taken by the incumbent government aimed at economic reforms and boosting the economic growth rate of the country.
The Minister was also speaking with a reference to the recent forecast made by the global renowned economic magazine, The Economist, which has listed Nepal in the 8th position among the fastest 10 growers including Bangladesh, India from South Asia for 2020.
Inaugurating the administrative building of Mechi Multiple Campus here on Friday, Minister Khatiwada said Nepal and Bangladesh had a higher economic growth rate in South Asia than other South Asian countries.
Assuring that the positive results of the economic measures taken by the incumbent government would begin to be seen slowly, he shared that budget was allocated to give completion to the development projects initiated by the previous government.
According to him, the government has taken up a policy to invest in technical, scientific and vocational education to produce internationally competitive human resources.
