Malla withdraws case against industrialist Jyoti

KATHMANDU: Bigendra Krishna Malla, who earlier lodged a complaint against industrialist Roop Jyoti of fraud over a land dispute, has withdrawn his complaint.

Malla has earlier filed a complaint at the Kathmandu Metropolitan Circle alleging Roop Jyoti of cheating him of Rs 12.6 million over a case involving land at Basbari in Kathmandu.

Jyoti is currently in police custody.

Chandra Kanta Khanal, a district government attorney, informed that as they have already received the file from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Circle, it is not clear whether the case would be dismissed or not.

Khanal informed that Malla has, in his case withdrawal, said he has received the money that he owed.

Industrialist Jyoti and his daughter Suruchi were arrested on November 7 after Malla lodged a complaint alleging them of deceiving him while selling the plot to him.
