Humde airport comes into operation

POKHARA: Humde Airport in Manang district has come into operation from today. The airport, which remained shut down since 2013, has resumed from today with the landing of an aircraft of Summit Air at the initiation of the government of Gandaki Province.

Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Bikash Lamsal and Parliamentarian Palten Gurung have landed at the airport by the aircraft of the Summit Air on the occasion.

Humde Airport lies at an altitude of 11,145 feet – the 18th highest airport of the world.
