Hetauda sub metropolis donates Rs 400,000 to FNJ Makwanpur chapter

HETAUDA: Hetauda sub metropolis has provided Rs 400 thousand to the journalists’ treatment fund set up by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Hetauda Chapter. Sub metropolis Mayor Hari Bahadur Mahat handed over the amount to Chapter Chairman Hari Humagain, fund coordinator Sarita Dahal, and Chapter Vice Chairman Kumar Adhikari on Friday.

On the occasion, Mahat gave the word that he would contribute Rs 1.5 million more to the fund during his term. “Sub metropolis is ready to assist journalists in the suffering,” he added. FNJ Makwanpur Chapter Chairman Humagain informed that the fund had so far received Rs 900 thousand.

Earlier, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Makwanpur, Nabaraj Aryal, had provided Rs 200 thousand while Shivam Cement Factory Rs 300 thousand. The interest gained from the fund deposit would be utilized for the treatment of journalists in case of serious state.
