PANCHTHAR: A tourist information center has been set up at Pauwabhanjyang of Falgunanda Rural Municipality-3 in Panchthar for facilitating the tourists. The Mechi Hilly Region Tourism Development Committee set up the information center at the cost of Rs 4.2 million.
It was set up in view of the Visit Year 2020, said planning officer of the committee, Sanjeeb Poudel. The center would be operated with the cooperation of Phidim Municipality and Falgunanda Rural Municipality. The local level people’s representatives and stakeholders from both sides have decided to conduct the center effectively with the appointment of qualified employees.
The touristy spot, Paubhanjyang, is located on the Mechi Highway. It is also near the burial ground of the 16th national luminary, Falgunanda. Free Wifi is arranged here for facilitating the tourists. Phidim Municipality Mayor Onahang Nembang informed that the tourist information centre would be helpful to promote tourism area in the district and the region as well.
The center, as he said, would benefit tourists visiting Khanchanjungha conservation area, Timbu Lake, Pathibhara Temple and other tourist areas as Labrekuti-Silauti.
