Minister Yadav stresses on ending misconducts in private medical colleges

KATHMANDU: Minister for Health Upendra Yadav has said that medical education has to be kept under medical services to end the prevailing misconducts.

Speaking at a program organized by the Medical Education Commission in the capital today, he stressed the need for collaboration with the private sector for the elevation of medical education.

Minister Yadav further stated that people should change the notion towards private medical colleges adding that such institutions were being operated by mafias aimed at looting the people. He said that any colleges doing wrong will be brought to the right track.

The Education Ministry had recently instructed the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) not to implement the MBBS entrance exam schedule, which was denied by the institution.
