BEIJING/WASHINGTON: The Chinese government’s top diplomat expressed optimism that China and the United States would reach a new trade deal at the earliest.
The optimistic comments came after both China and America exchanged trade war, with China announcing details of new tariffs against US imports on Monday.
US said it planned to hold a public hearing next month on the possibility of imposing duties up to 25% on a further $300 billion worth of imports from China.
