Mayor Shakya brands ‘Occupy Tundikhel’ campaign a political stunt



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolis Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya has branded the ‘Occupy Tundikhel’ campaign a political stunt.

Speaking at a press conference organized on the 25th founding day of the metropolis, Mayor Shakya claimed that people protesting carrying placards only to show their photographs in newspapers.

The ‘Occupy Tundikhel Campaign’ that began a few weeks ago aims at putting pressure on the concerned authority to restore and stop encroachment on Tundikhel.
