KATHMANDU: The Former Gurkhas Satyagraha Joint Struggle Committee (FGSJSC), UK-Nepal has strongly protested against India for placing Nepali territories – Kalapani, Lipulek, and Limpiyadhura – in India’s political map issued by India recently.

A statement issued by FGSJSC on Tuesday states, “The Committee strongly objects to the placement of sovereign Nepal’s territories – Kalapani, Lipulek, and Limpiyadhura – in the map of India unveiled recently. The Indian encroachment of Nepal’s land is unacceptable.”

It stated that India’s move has disrespected the century-old contribution made by the Indian Gurkhas in India.
Meanwhile, the FGSJSC has called on India to immediately withdraw its forces from the above-mentioned territory and also to retain its map in the status quo in line with the Sugauli Treaty.

Committee coordinator LB Ghising has signed on the statement.
