DPM Yadav inspects Ramgram Stupa



NAWALPARASI: Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Upendra Yadav inspected the Ramgram Stupa, a historic temple in west Nawalparasi this morning.

A relic of Lord Gautam Buddha is entrenched at the Ramgram Stupa.

Dipendra Chaudhary of the Lumbini Development Trust apprised the Deputy Prime Minister Yadav about the development situation around the area as well as its historical importance Stupa.

He informed that the Trust was endeavoring to develop Ramgram area into a pilgrimage site.

Baijanath Jayaswal, State 5’s State Assembly member, stated that the Ramgram and Panditpur areas in west Nawalparasi were still neglected although being a significant place linked with the life of the Buddha.

The Ramgram Stupa is around 90 feet long, 80 feet wide, and 30 feet high.
