KATHMANDU: The Nepal government has planned to bring in 2 million foreign tourists in 2020. But this government’s ambitious plan is likely to be hit as tourists are being diverted to another destinations due to exorbitant fare in Kathmandu.

The transport fare in Kathmandu is almost the double the fare in New Delhi which marred the Nepali tourism sector.

The air fare from Zurich of Switzerland to Kathmandu is  around Rs 190,000 while the fare from the same place to New Delhi is only 78,0000, even though the distance is almost the same.
