Prisoner drinks poison at hospital, dies

NEPALGUNJ: A prisoner has committed suicide by drinking poison at the hospital.

Prisoner Sunil Kumar Tiwari, 25, of Janaki Rural Municipality, Banke-3 killed himself by drinking poison in the toilet of the Bheri Zonal Hospital where he was taken to for treatment, confirmed jailer Bharat Pandey.

Tiwari had been serving a jail-term in Nepalgunj jail after he was arrested on the charge of trafficking brown sugar on April 16, 2018.
