TU tops best university in Asia

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal’s oldest university, has been ranked as the best university in the Asian region.

TU has ranked in the 251st position out of 300 best universities in Asia University Ranking 2019, according to a research conducted by The Times Higher Education, London.

Similarly, TU has succeeded to place itself in the 801st position out of the 1000 universities in the World University Ranking 2019.

TU has 60 constituent campuses and 1,084 affiliated colleges all over the country. The university offers 2,079 undergraduate programs and 2,000 postgraduate programs across its many affiliated institutions.

Tribhuvan University is the 11th largest university in the world, in terms of enrollment. It is a government funded university and therefore far more affordable than the country’s private universities.
