KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokhrel on Wednesday unveiled the government’s new education policy.

Minister Pokhrel made the 80-page-long report public several months after the government-formed committee submitted its recommendations for the new education policy.

He said that the new document did not incorporate all recommendations made by the committee.

The policy has failed to incorporate the committee’s key recommendations that suggested the transformation of private schools into trusts.

According to the new policy, the government will only regulate private schools.
