KATHMANDU: A meeting of the office bearers of the main opposition Nepali Congress is taking place at the central party office in Sanepa today.

The meeting slated for 4 pm today will prepare the agendas for the Central Working Committee meeting. The CWC meeting will take place from tomorrow.

The CWC meeting will review the results of by-elections held on November 30. It will also discuss the third phase of national awareness campaign (December 23 to January 1) , formation of the central departments and the long-overdue elections of the central committees of its sister organizations, among others, said Bishwo Prakash Sharma, spokesperson of the NC.

Earlier, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba categorically stated that he would penalize those who betrayed the party  during the elections.
