KATHMANDU: The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has taken legal action against 208 manpower agencies for not complying with the existing rules.

The DoFE has blacklisted them for fleecing the Nepali migrant workers leaving them stranded in the foreign land and not submitting the required legal documents.

According to the Department, over 50 such manpower agencies will be scrapped.

However, those blacklisted companies will be acquitted once they submit all the required legal documents and comply with the foreign employment act in a letter and spirit, said the DoFE.
