Arrest warrant issued against industrialist Padma Jyoti

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court on Monday issued an arrest warrant against industrialist Padma Jyoti.

Recordkeeper Ananda Shrestha said that a single bench of Judge Shreekrishna Bhattarai allowed police to arrest Padma Jyoti over a dupery case.

Padma Jyoti’s brother former Assistant Minister for Finance Roop Jyoti and his daughter Suruchi Jyoti are currently under police custody on the same case.

They were arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport over the case filed against them for conning people through real estate business.

Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) had objected to the arrest of renowned businessman and industrialist Roop Jyoti who has been contributing to industrialization in Nepal for long.
