Child drowns in fishery pond



BHADRAPUR: A minor has drowned in a fishery pond in ward no. 10 of Bhadrapur Municipality.

The incident took place on Saturday evening, when Suman Jogi, the 12-year-old son of Basudev Jogi was found dead inside the pond.

The fishery pond is owned by the Bishnu Construction. Family members, who went looking for him after he failed to return home in the evening, found him dead in the pond, police said.

An investigation has been launched into the incident, spokesperson of the district police office, Mahendra Kumar Shrestha.
