Issue of citizenship in Tarai to be resolved soon: Chair Dahal

LAHAN: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the issue of the citizenship in Tarai will be resolved soon.

Speaking while inaugurating the newly constructed health post building in Arnama Rural Municipality of the district on Monday, Dahal said that the bill related to the citizenship act would facilitate the genuine citizen to receive the citizenship of Nepal.

Likewise, in another context, leader Dahal reiterated that the government is committed to address the need of the people of Tarai and to amend the constitution to meet the genuine demands of the people in the region.

Leader Dahal revealed that the government has allotted a  package worth Rs 2 billion for the infrastructure development in the region targeting the people of the region, marginalized and underprivileged group in particular.
