2 killed, 9 injured in Rautahat road accident



RAUTAHAT: Two people were killed while nine others sustained injuries after a truck rammed a pilgrims bus parked at Mangalpur in Chandrapur Municipality-1 on the East-West Highway.

It is learnt that the ill-fated bus was ferrying Indian pilgrims. The deceased have been identified as 52-year-old Bijaya Kumar Jena and 54-year-old Charan Bishal of Odisha State of India, confirmed District Police Office, Parsa.

Six among those injured are undergoing treatment at Chandrapur while the three are in Birgunj hospital.

Police have taken truck driver Ramesh Kuamr Chaudhary under control.
