The program is being launched in Palpa, too. Of the total 10 local units, the program has been started  in Ribdikot and Rambha rural municipalities only. Bagnas Rural Municipality has not  started this program.

According to Krishna Basyal, chief of the rural municipality, the the program has not moved ahead due to the absence of Kanama Parajuli. “There are a lot of monkeys in our village. They are giving a lot of trouble to them. We have planned to drive away monkeys with with the PMEP program,” a report in Naya Patrika said.

Mathagadhi Rural Municipality has distributed Rs 200,000 each to wards but only ward no. 8 has started its work.
