Student leader dies in motorcycle accident

RANJHA: A student leader Padam Bahadur Shahi who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident occurred at Rapti Sonari rural municipality-2 of Banke district died while undergoing treatment this morning.

The dead one is from Kanakasundari rural municipality-5 from Jumla district. He died at Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur, said Pabindra Kumar Bam, Chief of District Traffic Police Office, Banke.

Shahi was the central member of All Nepal National Free Student Union. He got accident as the motorcycle (Ba 58 Pa 2186) he was riding had hit a car (Ba 19 Cha 1214) near Shumshergunj of Banke on Thursday night.

Pillion rider Nabina Shahi who was also injured in the accident is, however, receiving treatment at the Teaching Hospital Nepalgunj.
