KATHMANDU: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Thama Maya Thapa has said there is no alternative to the supporters of non-violence coming together strongly to end all forms of violence in society.
Minister Thapa expressed this during a discussion with the stakeholders in connection with celebrating the 16-day Campaign on Violence Against Women, organized at the Ministry on Friday.
Reminding that the government has been running the Campaign against Gender-Based Violence Year 2076 BS, she called on the citizens to become conscious against any forms of violence and discrimination in society.
On the occasion, discussions were held on forming the main program committee to mark the 16 Days of Campaign Against VAW, preparations for the same and the theme for the Campaign this year, among other topics.
Representatives of various governmental and non-governmental organizations and Ministry officials participated in the discussions.
