Body of young woman found inside sack in Jhapa river; identity unknown



JHAPA: The body of an unidentified young woman was found inside a sack near the Ratuwa River in Damak Municipality-10, Setumari, on Saturday.

According to police, the incident came to light around 10:30 am after which a police team was deployed to the scene.

Authorities said the body was found tied inside a sack under a bridge, with the victim’s hair and hands reportedly visible outside the bag.

The deceased is estimated to be around 20 to 22 years old, but her identity has not yet been established.

Police said the body has been recovered and taken for further examination.

The investigation is ongoing to determine who placed the body at the site and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
