KATHMANDU: A former lawmaker has been arrested from Lalitpur for sexually abusing a girl in public transport.
A team from Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur arrested former lawmaker Yogendra Ghising after passengers in a bus informed the law enforcement agency as Ghising abused a college girl.
He has been taken to Lalitpur District Court seeking a remand for an investigation into a case of indecent behavior.
Ghising is a former lawmaker of the then CPN (Maoist Center) from Lalitpur.
