Traffic lights to be installed in all Kathmandu junctions: MTPD

KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) stated it will prioritize technology-based traffic management for effective and efficient traffic management in Kathmandu Valley.

During a press meet organized on Monday, MTPD Chief Bhim Prasad Dhakal said that technology will be used to the utmost to solve the ever-increasing traffic jams in Kathmandu Valley.

Dhakal who was recently transferred to the division expressed his commitment to exhibit activeness to solve the traffic issues of the Capital City.

“The law will be enforced strictly in coordination with the stakeholders,” he said.

He added that the traffic lights will be installed in all junctions of the Valley.
