Obstructed Karnali highway reopens



KARNALI: The Karnali Highway which was obstructed at Tilagufa municipality-7, Takulla in Kalikot has reopened.
The flooding occurred on Friday evening had disrupted the highway since Saturday.

Shyam Babu Oliya, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Kalikot, shared the vehicular movement had come to resumption since 6.00 pm last night after the road was fixed during the day on Sunday.

The passengers who were left in lurch since Saturday following the disruption of the highway had found a hard time even for consuming food and water, passenger Ramkanta Neupane said .

The passengers had moved to their destination on Sunday evening only after the resumption of vehicular operation on the highway.

The flooding had caused damages to electric powerhouse and paddy farming in Takulla. The highway was disrupted for over 36 hours.
