Maitighar-Babarmahal road section turning into death trap



KATHMANDU: Four people lost their lives due to road accidents on the Maitighar-Babarmahal road section in the last one month.

Pedestrians walking through zebra crossing have also become victims due to the recklessness of the drivers despite having wide and asphalt roads.

A 19-year-old Deepak Thapa lost his life after his scooter he was riding was hit by a taxi in front of Art Council on Saturday.

Similarly, on June 3, Kalpana Chand of Bajhang died after being hit by a speeding motorcycle at Babarmahar. She was crossing the road through zebra crossing. In the last one month, two died at Babarmahal and the other two got killed at Maitighar.
