KATHMANDU: Around eight tonnes of relief materials have been transported to areas affected by the Bhotekoshi River floods in Rasuwa using eight Nepali Army trucks. The relief supplies were dispatched to the affected areas overnight.
The relief consignment includes 500 mosquito nets, 1,000 children’s dignity kits, 220 sleeping bags, 500 blankets, 10 plastic sheets, 100 tarpaulins, 500 solar lamps, 500 solar lamp panels and a 30-kVA generator.
The essential supplies were transported overnight to provide immediate relief and humanitarian assistance to people affected by the floods.
The materials were arranged and transported under the direct supervision of Home Minister Sudan Gurung, with the aim of ensuring their prompt delivery to the affected areas as flood victims continue to face difficulties.
The government said it is stepping up rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-affected areas.
