President assigns PM’s role to DPM Pokharel

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has assigned Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel the role of Prime Minister in the absence of PM KP Sharma Oli who is currently on a visit to Europe.

The assignment was in line with the constitution on the recommendation of PM Oli, according to a statement issued by President’s Office’s Spokesperson Chhabindra Parajuli.
