North Korea ‘fired’ unidentified projectile

SEOUL: North Korea on Thursday fired an unidentified projectile, according to South Korea’s military.

Thursday’s event occurred less than a week after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the test-firing of several rockets and a missile.

Reports said the projectile was fired early in the morning at around 4:30 p.m. from the country’s northwest town of Sino-ri. No further details have been given.

According to a South Korean official, the projectile was believed to have flown around 420 km. (Agencies)
