Blocked highway to be cleared within 10 minutes

KATHMANDU: The government has started implementing its long-cherished project to clear highway that may be blocked due to various reasons including banda and natural disasters within 10 minutes.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has brought this procedure into action in order to discourage blockades that may occur under various pretexts.

According to this procedure, Armed Police Force (APF) security post will be in place at the distance of every 20 kilometers.

The APF has also procured eight ambulances in view of accidents on the highway. They may carry 10-12 patients at a time.
