Answering to queries raised by the lawmakers on the Bill, Minister Khatiwada stated that the Bill was introduced to initiate investigations into revenue leakages more effective.

He said that the Bill would not interfere with the action taken against the cases of revenue leakages at the local as well as provincial levels.

Minister Khatiwada also expressed the confidence over the effective implementation of the Bill.

He said that the government would promote and encourage entrepreneurs rather than curtailing or controlling them.

On the occasion, he also clarified that the government would collect revenue from Ncell as per the Supreme Court’s verdict on tax issues.
