Mother dies while taking son to hospital

MAHOTTARI: A quarrel between two brothers has led to the tragic death of their mother. She died after the ambulance carrying her injured sons met with an accident.

The incident took place on Saturday evening, when Tara Badi,50, died as she was taking her sons Ganga Badi,21, and Umesh Badi,18 to hospital. The Badis are a resident of Bardibas-3, Patu. The two brothers were injured in a scuffle.

In the accident involving the ambulance (Ba. 2 Cha. 4441), both the brothers, the ambulance driver and a pedestrian were injured. The ambulance overturned at Gauridanda in Bardibas-3, police said. Tara Badi was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead upon arrival, according to the Area Police Office, Bardibas.

The injured including pedestrian Roshan Baraili,21, of Mithila municipality-4, Dhanusa and ambulance driver Chitra Bahadur Budathoki of Bardibas-3 are undergoing treatment at the local Subhaswastik Hospital, according to police inspector Ashok Kumar Shaha.
