KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali has said the Tatopani transit point in Sindhupalchowk will resume its operation by May 31.
Minister Gyawali said works are being carried out to bring the Tatopani transit point into operation within the stipulated time.
Speaking at the parliamentary International Relations Committee meeting today, Minister Gyawlai said construction works of the transit point have been expedited on both Nepal and China.
He said that the Chinese government has informed about the operation of the Tatopani transit point. The Tatopani transit point was damaged following the devastating 2015 earthquake.
Likewise, Minister Gyawali, also briefed the committee about President Bidya Bhandari’s state visit to China from May 24 to May 1 saying that significant achievements have been made from the visit.
Likewise, he also informed the committee about the visit of Prime Minister KP Oli to Vietnam and Cambodia beginning May 9.
