BIRATNAGAR:  Presidium member of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) Rajendra Mahato has said that his party would go to the people against the court’s decision to slap a life imprisonment on lawmaker Resham Chaudhary elected by the people.

Talking to journalists at Biratnagar on Thursday, Mahato said if the all the leaders, who took part in the past movements for rights are to be punished, even Prachand, Deuba, and Oli also should be sentenced.

Mahato said that the movement continues as the people from indigenous nationalities, Tharu and Madhesi communities are unhappy with the present constitution.

He stated that his party would launch a peaceful movement by forming an alliance from like-minded parties for ensuring rights of backward and downtrodden people in the constitution.

Similarly, Sharat Singh Bhandari, a presidium member, said that the reality will be unveiled when the commission on the Madhes and Tharuhat Movement will make its report public, flaying the court’s decision to slap life imprisonment on Chaudhary.

Residuum members Mahato, Bhandari and Mahendra Raya Yadav had reached Biratnagar to take part in a program in Maleth of Saptari.
