KATHMANDU: Going against the diplomatic decorum, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal has gifted alcohol to a newly-appointed minister.
A photo of Chinese envoy Hou Yanqi handing over the bottles of alcohol to Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Rameshwor Raya Yadav has taken the social media by storm with many lamenting the act for breaching the diplomatic protocol.
Some have criticized the act terming it an attempt to influence the Minister.
Ambassador Hou had handed over the gift to Minister Yadav at the Singha Durbar-based Labor Ministry.
